We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us” – anonymous
This statement couldn’t ring more true especially in the current pandemic conditions with the country in the midst of a third wave and reverting back to level 4 restrictions.
It’s easy to become so consumed with all the worries of the day to day that we forget that “this too shall pass”.
With travel restrictions in place for our Gauteng readers, now may not be the ideal time to travel but it most certainly doesn’t mean you have to stop dreaming of that next big trip or your next big adventure. In fact now is the ideal time to plan the trip of all trips because the one thing I’m sure we have all learnt over the last 18 months is how fragile and unpredictable life is. The world can, and has, changed in a blink of an eye, so it’s time to start living every day to its fullest and make those memories now instead of putting them off till tomorrow.
To help you along the way, this edition showcases some of the best adventure activities South Africa has to offer and as always we take a closer look at the people and organisations doing amazing work in the conservation arena.
Till next time, keep safe and keep travelling!
